2007 GAISF Meeting International Federation of Muaythai Amateur (IFMA) President Dr Tapsuwan, Stefan Fox and John Cockburn travelled to the General Association of International Sports Federations (GAISF) meeting in Beijing, China.

Muaythai is quickly becoming a part of the international sporting family and has already established a very good working relationships with Amateur Boxing, Tae Kwon Do and Judo. This will become even more important as preparations commence for the World Martial Arts Games to be held in 2010.

The GAISF meeting was held to coincide with the IOC meeting and lighting of the Olympic torch.  Meetings were also held with representatives of the Commonwealth Games and Mediterranean Games.

The calender of international events that Muaythai can compete in is steadily increasing.  This in turn will offer our athletes great opportunities to improve their skills and travel.
